Preachers teach that a church’s ministry extends far beyond the walls of the building in which it meets. This pandemic is the time to prove that.

I love my church! Flip side, our current pastor (there the last four years of the 20 I have attended), has been desperate to reopen. I don’t know what the pull factor is with the elders, but he hasn’t been able to pull it off yet (in our elder setup he is just a vote, not THE vote). We have had three dates, all canceled. The next attempt is later this month, but it sounds more doable-small group, outdoors, with all the state requirements (CA), and you need to reserve a spot so they can trace just in case. This I think I can do! I respect our pastor’s humility to listen and do the right thing. Online services will continue. They have been very high quality, and that is where all the seniors will be.
