A Prayer I Find Easy to Pray – part 2

I posted earlier today a prayer that I find difficult to pray. Here’s one that comes easy to me:

Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison.

That’s it.

What is the easiest prayer for you to pray? Why?

    What does that mean, Tim?

    • Tim says:

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy – It’s an ancient prayer I learned in chapel when I first became a Christian in England. It’s quite Trinitarian.

Kyrie eleison is one of my favorites. Also, “help”–which judging by how often I pray it, seems to be my favorite.

The ancient ‘Jesus prayer’ says: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

When I can’t pray, when life or circumstances are too overwhelming, this is a good place to start. Also, of course, the Lord’s prayer, given to us from our dear Saviour.

Like Keri said, I very often cry out in desperation, “God, help!!!” (And God does help.)
