Being Spirituel & Being Spiritual – a brief (and highly instructive, I assure you) vocabulary lesson

Spirituel, according to Bryan A. Garner, “means ‘witty’ or ‘of a highly refined character or nature, esp. in conjunction with liveliness or quickness of mind’ (OED).” (A Dictionary of Modern legal Usage.) So a spirituel person can also be a spiritual person and vice versa, but they can also not.

I am glad I am always one and hope to be mostly the other, too.

You?
