Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell Preach The Power Of Love (and I’m giving away thousands of interwebz!)

Whenever I hear this song, I can’t help thinking on Romans 8:38-39.

But after watching Tammi and Marvin, I’m left with one question. Does anyone know where that phone booth is?*

*10,000 interwebz to whoever can answer that question. While interwebz are worthless (due to the fact they don’t exist or some such nonsense as that), they are valued the world over for their ephemeral illusory nature. Or maybe not.

  1. I want 150,000 interwebz to answer the question, as I refuse to answer anything for anyone who is so cheap! 10,000 HA!

Great song my kids love that song and what a voice Marvin Gaye had!

    • Tim says:

That song is one of the best to come from the Motown sound. What a shame Tammi Terrell died so young. She collapsed in Marvin’s arms while they were performing, got diagnosed with a brain tumor, and died just weeks before her 25th birthday.

If she were still with us, I’d give her infinity times infinity interwebz, Same goes for Marvin.

      • I did not know that about Tammi Terrel always wondered why we never heard more. Thanks for that tidbit. Here we go theology, and musical history right here on this blog folks.

Now Tim I did not ask for infinity times infinity only 150,000 so let me know when your ready to pay up! LOLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  2. Jeannie says:

Is it on the set of Get Smart? It looks like the Cone of Silence.
    (just kiddin’ 😉 )

  3. Adriana says:

This is one I sing with my kids sometimes. 🙂

You always make great connections to Scripture, Tim. Romans 8:38-39 is wonderful.

  4. I was listening to their album with this on it just last week! hehe. Good song. Seeing this makes me want false eyelashes for a day haha. Looks like a good phone booth to use. I think of that verse when I hear this song too. 😉

Talk to me (or don't)
